About CREATEa
CREATEa is an arts company originally launched in August 2009 as the face painting business Create-A-Face.
Offering an array of services for your events such as Face & Body Painting, Glitter Tattoos, Balloon Twisting and Balloon Centerpieces, we decided to up our game with the addition of Henna, Custom Cakes & Other Baked Goods, Indoor/Outdoor Balloon Arches & Columns, Balloon Decor, Special Effects Makeup and Commissioned Art Services & Sales.
In 2014, after 5 successful years, we proudly relaunched as CREATEa to reflect that we are now a virtual one stop shop for your special occasions. What that means for you is that we can help your budget go further with the discounts we offer when you bundle our services.

Who is CREATEa?
Cheryl Guerino

Cheryl Guerino is an artist currently living in Lowell, Massachusetts.
She founded CREATEa ARTS (formerly Create-A-Face) in 2009 as a means to supplement the family income. She always had a passion for art and after considering many 2nd job options, decided that a face painting business would allow her to earn extra money with a flexible schedule resulting in less impact on time spent with her children.
In April 2014, Cheryl returned to the canvas after a near 20 year break from fine art, with her work being displayed at UnchARTed Gallery as well the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum and is currently commissioned both internationally and at home in the States.

John Verduga

John Verduga is an artist currently living in Lowell, Massachusetts.
John is CREATEa's Lead Balloon Artist and has been with the company since its initial launch in 2009. John began with CREATEa as a face painter but quickly became a balloonist extraordanaire once the service was added in 2010. He attends regular training each year to keep up to date with the best practices and techniques.
John's good nature and artistic talent shine through whenever he is at work which has quickly made him a sought after entertainer. John is a sculptor as well and has work for sale via CREATEa.

Cory Tremblett is an artist currently living in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Cory is one of CREATEa's Balloon Artists and has been with the company on and off since 2010. Cory began with CREATEa as a face painter but transitioned to balloon art in 2016 as demand increased.
Cory's patience, smile and amazing work ethic are what make him a highly prized member of CREATEa's team!

Erica Verduga is a student, gamer and artist currently living in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Erica Verduga is CREATEa's youngest team member offering Glitter Tattoos with a smile. Her amazing way with people (especially children) is what makes her so valuable as a team member. Even while working under the pressure of long festival lines, Erica knows how to give each customer that special treatment which makes them feel special.

Carolyn Woods is an artist currently living in San Diego, California.
Carolyn is an International Award Winning Face & Body Artist who collaborates with CREATEa when visiting the Boston area several times a year.
Carolyn's Face Painting experience began as a result of her work with deaf children. She volunteered to face paint for a fundraiser as she is fluent in ASL and her passion for the art blossomed from there.
When she's in town, Carolyn is available for booking via CREATEa which is posted on the home page as a special announcement.
